Fiber Patch Cord

A Fiber Patch Cord is a fiber optic cable having connections on both ends that allows it to be attached to CATV, an optical switch, or other telecommunications equipment quickly and easily. The optical transmitter, receiver, and terminal box are all connected by its strong layer of protection. A fiber optic patch cable is made up of a high-refractive-index core surrounded by a low-refractive-index covering reinforced with aramid yarns and protected by a protective jacket. The transparency of the core allows for long-distance transmission of optical signals with little loss. Fiber patch cords are widely used in telecommunications and data transmission applications.
